Foster Care

Angel of Hope is in constant need of foster homes for cats and dogs while they await adoption. Foster care can be as short as an overnight stay after surgery to a longer-term commitment that lasts until the animal gets adopted. Typically, foster care lasts for one to three months but may last longer. AOH will be happy to work with you to meet your needs and match the best foster pet to your household.

If you foster with AOH, you provide training, socialization and lots of love.

We will provide all pre-approved medical care and support for you while the animal is in your home, and the essentials like food, litter and other supplies needed to help ensure fostering is a great experience for you and the pet!

Animals in Need of a Foster Home

There are many reasons why an animal would need to be fostered. Angel of Hope rescues cats and dogs of all breeds and sizes. Some animals that need fostering are for socialization reasons (timid/scared, or extra spicy), some animals are for medical reasons, some are waiting on vet appointments or surgeries, or are recovering from a surgery, etc.  There are many different reasons animals need to be fostered before they can be adopted to their forever families.  We’ll work with you to make sure you are matched with the animal(s) you feel most comfortable with.

Maybel

Maybel is a 1-year-old female. She is super sweet and is currently waiting on a dental surgery. Once she has had her dental surgery, she will be able to be placed for adoption! If you are interested in fostering Maybel until she has her surgery, please apply here: Cat Foster Application.

Beyonce is almost 2 year old brown tabby, in need of a patient and cat-savvy foster!

Beyonce

Beyonce is an almost 2-year-old cat. She needs a foster until she finds her forever home. Beyonce is very sweet, and chatty. However, she does not do well with children, dogs, or other cats. She would do best in a home where she would be the queen B. She does tend to get overstimulated, and likes to come to her people for pets, vs. Them coming to her. Beyonce is available for foster or adoption.

Buddy is a 6 year old medium hair gray kitty.

Buddy

Buddy is a 6-year-old all gray medium hair cat. Buddy’s favorite activities are watching bird videos on YouTube and being close to a sunny window to watch the world go by.

Buddy would LOVE to have kitty friends, but he has two requirements for those kitty friends:

1. They must be nice kitties

2. The kitties should be FIV positive

Buddy is FIV positive, so it would be best if he lived in a home with other FIV positive cats. He can live with other cats that are FIV negative, as long as the owners know the possible risk factors. Adopting an FIV positive cat can be really rewarding. Although nobody can predict the future, many FIV positive cats can potentially live long, healthy and full lives, just like a non-infected cat. They also have all the usual needs of any cat, such as a nutritious diet, mental timulation and plenty of love! Buddy is a good boy who needs a patient, loving family who will accept him for who he is. Humans have failed him too many times - let's find him the best forever family that he deserves! Buddy is available for foster, or foster to adopt as we want to make sure the home he finds is purrfect for him.

We are in constant need of maternity foster homes.

Maternity Fosters

We get calls for people needing to surrender their pregnant cats, constantly.  We are in constant need of some fosters who can take on a pregnant momma, and foster her until she has her kittens, and is done nursing!  Experienced maternity foster would be ideal, but not required. Bonus: adorable kitten photos for days!

If you would like to foster a momma cat and her kittens, please apply here: Cat Foster Application.

Puppy & Dog Fosters

Angel of Hope is a foster based rescue. We do not have any puppies or dogs on-site, they are all in foster homes. So, in order for us to take in more dogs and puppies, we have to have committed foster homes ready to go. Could that be you? If you are interested in fostering puppies or dogs, please complete our foster application here.
