Petco Love Stories
Attention Angel of Hope Adopters!
Your Love Story is lifesaving.
Adopted pets change lives. But not everyone knows this. Your Love Story can help change that, so more shelter pets find loving families.
Every year, pet parents and Petco Love help more pets get adopted by sharing Love Stories that celebrate the big and small ways pets change our lives for the better and by awarding grants to animal welfare organizations so they can create more adoption matches!
Since 2013, more than 25,000 adopters, like you, have shared their Love Story, and Petco has awarded $8 million in lifesaving grants to the animal welfare organizations that make these adoptions possible.
Join us in helping more pets get adopted into loving families by celebrating the impact your adopted pet has on your life in a Love Story.
Brag about your pet to inspire more adoptions!
Share how your adopted pet's love brings joy or strength into your life in a Love Story. The goal of your story? Show the world that adopted pets are more than “shelter pets” – they change our lives for the better.
Submit your Love Story by 11:59pm CST, September 29 for a chance to score fun surprises for you and your pet and earn your pet’s adoption organization a grant of up to $100,000 to create more life-changing matches.
Tips For Creating Your Love Story
Start with deciding if you want to create a social media video or if you feel most comfortable writing your Love Story. Both formats help pets get adopted!
Your goal is to share how your pet's love improves your life so that more shelter pets can find loving homes and more people can experience the life-changing impact of an adopted pet. We recommend focusing on the big or small ways your pet's love brings joy or strength into your life.
While you can start at the moment you decided to adopt your pet, we really recommend focusing on the impact they have now that they’re in your life.
